It’s very liberating to go back to basics and simply scribble down ideas, mess about with bits of paper, fabric, wool and glue.
I had rediscovered something I was excited about and enjoyed doing. The above ideas developed into quite a large wall hanging inspired mostly by the sea, the rhythms and nature beneath the sea. This work is called Far Away From Dry Land, meaningful words taken from that wonderful song by The Waterboys, Fisherman’s Blues.
This was a college project I very much enjoyed creating.
