Hull, iconic Three Ships Mural neck purse – green white pink

Handmade fabric neck purse.

I’ve created a limited edition range of Hull themed neck purses to pay homage to this great city in its Year of Culture 2017. Being an artist from the Hull area myself I have chosen to feature some of my favourite landmarks and those iconic places which Hull is known for. My illustrations feature on all the fabric on the Hull purses.

The purse for sale here features my homage to one of the most iconic pieces of large scale art in Hull, the Three Ships Mural by Alan Boyson, a glass mosaic which is on the old BHS store.

The style of the purse features a pull up lid whilst the bottom pouch part of the purse remains attached to the neck cord making it secure. The purse is made from a mid weight cotton and measures approx. 8.5cm x 11.5cm when closed. The neck cord is 1 metre.

The purse will actually accommodate a small A7 notepad (not supplied) it would also make a useful gift for anyone who sews as you could keep a small sewing kit inside and have your pins and needles around your neck. Lots of uses for any small objects or just a quirky keepsake for #Hull2017.

Show your support for the Three Ships Mural which is currently in a battle to be saved from developers and gain listed status as a landmark to Hull’s fishing heritage.
