Fabric bangle, Japanese Sashiko style
Description
A textile bangle lovingly handmade in the Japanese Sashiko style which uses functional embroidery stitches for mending and repair. The bangle has patchwork panels of traditional screen printed navy floral fabric, intermixed with brown linen that I’ve embellished with hand stitching.
These bangles are very comfortable to wear, they’re lightweight, no fasteners, plus they’re squidgy so are quite easy to slip on and then they pop back up.
I recycle part of a plastic water bottle for the stiffener inside so I like to think they’re quite ethical too.
This bangle squidges to approx. 9 cm across, if the wide part of your hand will slide through that then it should fit great.
Please note that whilst these bangles are fabric, they are not suitable for washing.
Created in a smoke and pet free environment, nicely wrapped to make a unique gift.
Made in the Fabric Mountain studio in the Yorkshire Wolds.
*UK customers – Should you be interested in buying more than one bangle, please contact me beforehand to enquire about shipping because I may be able to do a reduced rate and combine postage. My webshop is not very sophisticated and a flat shipping rate is applied to each listing so if you were to buy multiple items I would issue a Paypal refund for the reduced postal cost.
*Overseas – sadly due to the increased cost of overseas shipping I cannot offer a combined postal discount.
