Wire wrapped natural sea glass and polymer clay pendant
Description
I love to beachcomb along the wild East Yorkshire coastline. I often return home with my pockets full of pebbles, shells, seaglass and driftwood for my mixed media creations.
These bits of seaglass were found along the Spurn Point peninsula which is an other worldly place and an important nature reserve. The seaglass is cleaned and then waxed before use.
I’ve turned the seaglass into unusual pendants by moulding marbled Fimo polymer clay around the chunk of glass to add a pop of colour with a few flecks of gold leaf and then wire wrappied the pendant.
The pendant is strung on a simple black cord measuring approx. 46cm when opened out.
This pendant measures approx 5 x 3 cm
Natural wave tumbled Yorkshire seaglass.
